The Rat Arena – 1287, ~Autumn

Suref, the goblin Fist and the silent warrior Rivel come to their senses in the Rat Arena. They are prisoners: their pasts wiped by magic, their strength shackled by collars that the keepers control.
Here they are not slaves and not even people — they are a spectacle. The crowd wants blood. Gold runs like a river. And death becomes entertainment.
The fights are a wheel: you run, and you run … until you drop dead.

Vail Zurra – 1287, ~Spring

The hero Erdopap, carrying out his commission to find a unique and deadly weapon … finds an elven girl instead. It never occurred to him that she was the very weapon he had sworn to fetch.
He decides not to complete the job but to help her. Fleeing both his employer’s pursuers and her gaolers at once, he blunders into captivity with Gunkhar smugglers. Not knowing what “treasure” has fallen into their hands, they simply decide to sell the heroes into slavery …

Gaerik, Nids and Grisvold spent several months carousing in Iglis after a job well done, looking for work worthy of “the heroes who put down the dead in Khadur”.
The job they picked looked simple and profitable. But as chance would have it … or perhaps as the gods would have it, in the place they set out for… In short, they were dragged into the games of a sinister cult that wanted to summon the avatar of its god.

The players are sellswords gathered by an old adventurer named Abe, hired by the jarl of the northern town of Iglis to look into a string of bandit attacks on the high road.
It soon turns out that no bandits were behind the attacks. It was disturbed undead out of the ancient dwarven city of Khadur.
